Vintage Doll Vogue BABY DEAR 18” Eloise Wilkin Design 1960s
This is Baby Dear from Vogue in the early 1960s.
Baby Dear is about 18” long and marked on her leg “E. Wilkins / 1960”.
The cloth tag for “Vogue Dolls, Inc.” is missing from the back of her head.
Baby Dear has honey blonde hair in the original full-head pixie cut style.
Her hair is soft and clean, and covers the head well.
Baby Dear is a newborn baby doll, designed by Eloise Wilkin.
Wilkin also illustrated the Little Golden Book “Baby Dear”, as well as many more books.
Baby Dear is in good played-with, used condition.
She is dressed in an expertly- handmade long gown with blue dots.
She has a long slip, panties and lace-trimmed bonnet to match.
Baby Dear came from her original owner, and the clothes were made by the owner’s grandmother.
Baby’s fingers and toes are complete.
There is some kind of imperfection on the inside of one arm, a small dent or gouge.
